inaugural north gwinnett jazz festival

Hosted by the North Gwinnett High School Jazz Program in coordination with the City of Sugar Hill,

The NGJF is a showcase for local and regional educational jazz groups to perform for audiences and build community with each other. During the festival, 12 different ensembles will have the opportunity to perform for each other and the community and receive professional recordings, while also networking with other schools, local and regional colleges, and vendors. The festival will be a great time for the entire city, and is open to everyone to come enjoy fantastic jazz music! Be sure to stay all day, as there will be food trucks, craft vendors, and fun for the whole family. There will also be a featured guest ensemble - the professional Atlanta Lab Band, performing the Georgia premiere of a Grammy © nominated work.

Bring a lawn chair, blanket or sit on the amphitheater seating as you enjoy the swingin’ sounds of local talent!

Featured Performances: 6:00PM - 8:00PM

North Gwinnett Big Band (Brandon Soloff, Director) will perform music from Count Basie to Stevie Wonder and will feature Mace Hibbard (Alto Sax, Grammy Award Winner), Tim Leahey (Trumpet, Airmen of Note, Retired), and Devin Witt (Sousaphone/Low Brass, NG Band Staff/Freelancer).

Atlanta Lab Band (Devin Witt, Director) will perform a Georgia premiere of a Grammy nominated work and features some of Atlanta and the Southeast’s top jazz musicians.
